Welcome to the online Application for the
Christian Leadership Scholarship (CLS).
This scholarship is set aside for first time, traditional-aged DBU students who exhibit exceptional Christian character and leadership abilities, as well as proven academic skills. We are looking for students who have given their lives to serving God and other people.

NOTE: Before you will be considered for this scholarship, you must be admitted to Dallas Baptist University.  Click here for admissions information.  It is recommended that you begin the process for scholarship application simultaneously with the admission process.

This form will walk you through the CLS application process, which will require about 6 minutes to complete.  

You must be a traditional-age student to apply for this scholarship.

INSTRUCTIONS:

YOU WILL NEED THREE REFERENCES TO COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION PROCESS
It is highly recommended that you have the name, email address and phone number of all references before beginning the application process. References will be emailed automatically upon completion of the application.

Your three recommendations should include one from each of the following categories (excluding relatives):

A. A teacher, principal, or counselor
B. A pastor or youth minister
C. Another person of your choosing

It is the applicant’s responsibility to confirm that recommendations are received by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT AN ESSAY WITH THIS APPLICATION DESCRIBING:

A. How God is using you to influence the lives
of other people. Please be specific by
including your activities.

B. The short- and long-term goals you have
set for yourself. (This essay is in addition to
the essay required for admission.)

It is recommended that you type your essay in advance in a program such as Microsoft Word or Word Perfect and then copy & paste your essay into the field provided in the online application.

NOTE: A scholarship interview is required. You will be given information on how to contact an admissions counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to arrange an interview at the end of the application.
